Terminology Hinders Reporting of HHO Generators
One of the biggest problems in reporting or talking about HHO generators for cars is the terminology used. Because this is such a new and emerging field, standard terminology has not be adopted broadly by people who are building, buying, making or developing run your car on water devices.
Here are some of the terms used for the same basic technology:
• HHO generators
• HHO gas generators
• Hydrogen fuel injection
• Hydrogen boosters
• Brown’s gas
• Oxyhydrogen
• Hydroxy
• Run your car on water devices
• Water fuel
So, it’s no wonder that many people are confused with the difference between HHO generators and hydrogen cars. Many reporters talk about hydrogen fuel cells as if they were the same as HHO generators.
Take this article for instance titled “Fighting High Gas Prices with Hydrogen” where HHO generators are called “fuel cells” and this adds to the confusion rather than clarification of what these devices do. I left a comment clarifying this subject so we’ll see if they post it.
In my last blog post I had talked about the HHO generator and misinformation in the media. The news site I’ve linked to is not as confusing as most and the reporter does a decent job describing what the hydrogen booster does in relation to an internal combustion engine.
As time moves on and this emerging industry shakes itself out, the terminology debate will also be settled. Until, then, however, expect much confusion and duplication of terms when reading about and researching HHO generators for cars.
